SYSTEM/NETWORK MASTER
A company's computer systems and network infrastructure are managed by a senior-level IT specialist known as the System/Network Master, who is in charge of strategic planning, implementation, and continuing oversight. They make certain that the networks and systems are reliable, efficient, and safe to support the company's business activities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Network Administration: Create, set up, and oversee the LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure for the company. For the best possible connectivity and data flow, keep an eye on network performance and solve problems as they arise. To prevent unwanted access and data breaches, implement and maintain network security measures.
- System Management: Oversee and preserve servers, encompassing setup, adjustment, and modifications. Make that the system is reliable, performant, and available; deal with problems as they come up. Make routine backups and prepare for emergencies.
- Planning for Infrastructure: Work together with management and other IT specialists to create long-term IT infrastructure strategy. Analyze and suggest hardware and software options based on the demands of the organization. As the company expands, make plans for capacity expansion and scalability.
- Safety and Adherence: To protect the company's network and data, put security rules and procedures into place and enforce them. Keep abreast with new threats and cybersecurity best practices. Verify adherence to pertinent laws and guidelines.
- Observation and Problem-Solving: Maintain a constant eye on the functionality of your systems and network to proactively spot and fix problems. To reduce downtime, look into and fix technical issues and outages as soon as possible.
- Record-keeping: Keep detailed and accurate records of all system and network settings, modifications, and operations. Create and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Group Headship: Provide direction and training while supervising and mentoring junior IT employees. Work together with other IT departments and teams to accomplish IT-related tasks and goals.
- Vendor Administration: To acquire hardware, software, and services, work together with technology suppliers and service providers. Handle contracts and vendor relationships.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a similar discipline (a master's degree is desirable).
- It could be necessary or desirable to have professional qualifications like the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- Demonstrable network and system management experience, with at least five to seven years in a comparable position.
- Strong familiarity with virtualization, cloud computing, server operating systems, and networking protocols.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to manage and lead projects both alone and collaboratively.
